Hakkaku (Octagon in Japanese) Bento is a new entry in our collection of Japanese wooden handcraft. With its unique shape and rich heritage we think you’ll love this bento(^^).
Hakkaku Bento is a bento box made from wood, crafted and decorated in line with the ancestral tradition from Yamanaka in Kaga. This master craftsman technique also known as Yamanakanuri, produce outstanding results, created with sincerity and passion. There is a reason why Yamanaka craftsmen were the first to be considered as part of Japan’s National heritage!
This is a brand new design that we are introducing with Hakkaku Bento: the 8 faces of this traditional red lunchbox makes it fit just between our square and round boxes. It is large but stackable and really has that “handcraft” feeling to it ~ Chic lunchbox or elegant storage box; there are many ways to make good use of it!
